The school districts in the immediate Jacksonville area are Duval, St. Johns County and Clay County.
The Duval school district is in the city of Jacksonville. The Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach and Atlantic Beach areas are in Duval County.
The St. Johns County school district is just south of the Jacksonville city limits and runs to below St. Augustine. St Johns County School District includes: Ponte Vedra Beach, St. Johns, World Golf Village, and St. Augustine schools.
A couple of the other area school districts are Clay County to the southwest of the city, Baker County to the west, and Nassau County to the North.
Eight Jacksonville area schools were rated in Newsweek as one of the Best High Schools in America.

Clay County - A
Each individual school within the district is awarded an individual grade. What this means is that even if a district has a high grade, a particular school could have a low grade, or vice versa.
