Jacksonville Geography

Jacksonville is a beautiful city in Northeast Florida. It is where the major interstates of I-95 and I-10 meet and I-10 ends.  Jacksonville is nestled between the banks of the majestic St. Johns river and the Atlantic Ocean.  St. Augustine is located just south of Jacksonville and is easily accessible by I-95.  St. Augustine Beach is south of Ponte Vedra Beach which is south of Jacksonville Beach.

No matter where you live in the Jacksonville area, you are never very far from water. Unlike the average river, The St. Johns River is miles across at many points throughout the area and flows north through the downtown area and then out to sea. There are many creeks that run off of this river that are navigable.  Tidal areas abound.

The intracoastal also runs through the city giving the boating and watersport enthusiast many exciting options.

The beauty of the Jacksonville area is unparalleled for sunseekers.

This longtime Florida "secret" is gaining in popularity as it is discovered by more and more people.
